We're Always Looking for Good People

Even when we don't have a specific role posted, we keep every application on file. Our crews grow, people move up, and openings come up with little warning. When they do, the first place we look is the people who already reached out.

Junk removal is not an industry with a lot of applicants sitting around waiting. The good ones get hired fast. So we'd rather hear from you when you're curious than wait until we're desperate and you've already taken something else.

The Kinds of Work We Hire For

• Drivers and haulers — the core of our field crews. Physical work, early starts, customer-facing, and a lot of sorting and donation runs. This is where most people start, including most of our current leadership.
• Resale store associates — pricing, merchandising, and customer service at our South Congress shop. Good fit if you have an eye for what things are worth and enjoy talking to people all day.
• Field leadership — crew leads and operations roles for people with logistics, moving, transportation, or field-services experience. You'd be running a day, not just working one.
• Office and dispatch — scheduling, estimates, routing, and customer communication. Fast-paced, phone-heavy, and you're the voice customers hear before they meet a crew.

What It's Like to Work Here

IREP is a fully local, woman-owned company in Austin, and most of what we haul never sees a landfill. We route material to Goodwill, Habitat for Humanity ReStore, St. Vincent de Paul, Austin Pets Alive, Austin Resource Recovery, and our own resale store on South Congress. We divert hundreds of tons a year and give back over 2% of revenue and labor to local causes.

We're a team of about a dozen people serving all five Greater Austin counties. That size cuts both ways, and you should know both. You'll know everyone's name and they'll know yours, your work is visible, and good work gets noticed quickly. It also means there's nowhere to hide on a bad day, and everyone picks up slack when someone's out.

The work is physical and the starts are early. Austin summers are brutal in the back of a truck. We're not going to pretend otherwise, because the people who last here are the ones who knew what they were signing up for.

What We Look For

Reliability beats experience, every time. We can teach someone to load a truck efficiently, sort materials correctly, and handle a customer well. We cannot teach someone to show up on time, and we've stopped trying.

Beyond that: a valid driver's license and clean record for anything field-based, the willingness to do real physical work, and the kind of judgment that keeps a customer calm when a job turns out bigger than the estimate. A lot of our work happens in people's homes on hard days — after a death, before an eviction, during a divorce. How you carry yourself in those moments matters here.
